První ročník akce EMiT

The first year of the event for students Electromagnetic Tuesday (EMiT) took place at our department. We prepared 11 experiments for around 100 students that visited EMiT. During 4 hours students designed over 1200 antennas, manufactured and measured another 12 antennas and connectorized 13 optical cables. The best students were awarded 12 prizes.

During the interactive antenna design workshop students used the Antenna Toolbox for Matlab (AToM) developed at our department. Many of them achieved even better results than a genetic algorithm running (limited to 30 iterations) in a cycle in parallel throughout the workshop. Our colleagues Zdeněk Hradecký and a vice-rector of CTU Zbyněk Škvor served all the 200 beers and tens of pickled sausages. See the photogallery.
