Description:
It is known that gain of linear antenna may be enhanced by its proper shaping, as demonstrated by Landstorfer [1].
Idea of this project is to use EM simulator FEKO or CST with its built-in optimizer to design a high gain Landstorfer-type Yagi-Uda antenna. The designed antenna should be symmetrized and matched to 50 Ohm connector. Compare behavior of proposed antenna to conventional Yagi design. Manufactured sample will be measured in antenna chamber available at the department (matching, gain, radiation pattern).
