Significant participation at the EuCAP 2024 conference in Scotland
Recently, the Computational Electromagnetics group, along with other doctoral students from the department and faculty, attended the European Conference of Antennas and Propagation. The conference took place from the 17th to the 22nd, 2024 in Glasgow. This prestigious conference is one of the largest in its field and provides a platform for presenting the latest research findings in antennas and electromagnetic wave propagation. Our participants presented their work and actively participated in sessions related to their own research interests. Participation in this conference allowed our staff to stay informed about the current state of the art in the topic. The conference also plays an important role in keeping contact with foreign collaborating groups and meeting in person with colleagues in Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, and the USA.
Professor Miloslav Čapek, the head of the group, played a significant role at the conference as the chair of sessions and gave a short course on Optimal Antennas: Operators, Limits, and Design together with Professor Mats Gustafsson. Additionally, he was recognized as the best presenter for the year 2023 by the European School of Antennas, further confirming his significant contribution to the community. Professor Čapek recently lectured in Hannover on the topic of characteristic modes, and this year he will take on another significant role as the main organizer and lecturer of the Optimal Antennas course at our home institution.
