New GAČR research project at the department

The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GAČR) will support 332 new projects for a total of CZK 2.63 billion from next year. Our colleague doc. Jelínek from the CEM research group also succeeded in very strong competition. The name of the project is “Theoretical Limits of Light-Matter Interactions” and the goals of the project are:

1) Find strength limits of electromagnetic interaction within the field of optical tweezing, trapping, or enhanced Raman scattering.

2) Develop a formulation that includes backreacting systems with frequency conversion.

3) Implement theoretical findings into freely available software tools.
